Hello!
I’m Denny.
I created Dose & Destination out of a passion for travel with a hint of crippling fear of the unknown.
I’m also a pharmacist by training, having received my PharmD in 2019. For the past few years I’ve been helping patients navigate medications, their health, and the occasional “I googled this and now I’m concerned”. We’ve all been there so there’s no judgment here.
Somewhere along the way those conversations with my patients started to shift, and instead of just talking about prescriptions we also started talking about travel plans and staying healthy abroad.
Things like:
“What vaccines do I need if I’m going here?”
“Can I bring these meds on the airplane?”
“What should I do if I get diarrhea?” (my favourite)
So this blog is where I aim to answer all your travel health questions.
Dose & Destination is where I share how I personally think about travel through the lens of a pharmacist—what I pay attention to, how I prepare, and what’s actually worth thinking about before a trip.
Travel doesn’t need to be full of uncertainty.
And your health doesn’t need to take a backseat on vacation.
